Market Turnover slightly retreated by 5.71% to settle at 273.81Mn against yesterday’s 290Mn. Market Volume significantly dropped by 52% to close the day with 5.52Mn shares exchanging hands against yesterday’s 11.5Mn. Safaricom Plc, Diamond Trust Bank of Kenya and Kenya Commercial Bank Plc were the most actively traded counters, with 2.2Mn, 993,200 and 687,200 shares exchanging hands respectively.
The NSE All share and the NSE20 share indices were up by 1.16 and 5.66 points to close the day at 158.78 and 2894.85 points respectively.
The Shilling slightly lost against the dollar to close at 101.06.
