On the first day of trading this week, market closed with a turnover rose to 541Mn as compared to Friday’s 513Mn. Market volume was up to 27Mn shares exchanging hands as compared to Friday’s 16Mn. Safaricom Plc and KenGen Plc recorded highest activities with 15MnMn and 7.9Mn shares traded as at close of trading today.
The All share index and the NSE20 index both dropped by 0.28 and 2.21 points to close the day at 159.24 and 2844.64 points respectively.
The Shilling remained relatively stable, showing slow strengths to close at 100.63 against the dollar.
