Market turnover was further down to settle at 189Mn as compared to yesterday’s 486Mn. Market volume likewise derailed to 7.3Mn shares exchanging hands as compared to yesterday’s 11Mn. Safaricom Plc and Barclays Bank of Kenya Plc recorded highest activities with 3.2Mn and 739,000 shares traded as at close of trading today.

The All share index and the NSE20 index both dropped by 0.5 and 17.66 points to close at 159.58 and 2848.05 points respectively.

The Shilling remained relatively stable, showing slow strengths to close at 100.80 against the dollar.
